Building for the Future

The St. Andrew's Activity Center is a large, modern multi-use facility directly north of the sanctuary. Please tour the new building, or follow the website links, below, to learn more.

The Activity Center is becoming available for meetings as the builder corrects remaining construction action items. Carpeting in the main hall will be given further attention. The curling of isolated carpet squares must be corrected by the builder before close-out of the project. The kitchen move is being managed by Marge Munger. David Kamberg, Lorraine Harold, Jerry Morris and Marge Munger went through the Crothers Hall kitchen and selected items to be moved and those to stay. A new coffee maker will be installed. The existing coffee maker will stay in the Crothers Hall kitchen. Coffee and meal service for church events will begin once action items in the kitchen facilities and the hall are sufficiently completed for Church needs.

Members should contact the church office to reserve space for events, as available. Use of the Activity Center by outside groups will be managed by the Event Planning Team headed by Marge Munger, Jackie Lopey and Sharon Eklund. Rules and fees for guests will be determined by the Event Planning Team and the Church leadership. Serving of alcoholic beverages will be set up through selected caterers and controlled by Church policy; insurance coverage and procedures will be in place for limited time and place for beverage service. Session has also approved designated giving for furniture for the activity center for the comfort of guests and members.

Our Architect John Goldman, with careful consultation with St. Andrew's members, prepared a vision that placed our new Activity Center to balance our Sanctuary. You can view the early color elevation drawings by clicking on the links below:
